COMMUNITY MURAL PROJECTS

Abigail has been facilitating international community mural projects in the Dominican Republic for several years, and completed her first community mural project in Cuba in June.

She sees community mural projects as another way to engage diverse populations and provide accessibility to the arts for all. She is excited to initiate a unique community art project in the Winchester/ Frederick County VA area in 2017.

“WE ARE WINCHESTER”

"We Are Winchester is a community art project created by Abigail Gomez as a part of the Artisan in Residence Program at the Shenandoah Valley Discovery Museum.

This project is has been created in an effort to visualize the concept that while we are each an amazing individual, with unique facial profiles, we are at the same time still similar and indistinguishable from each other as components of the

larger human race.
